Seeking software engineers with a range of experience. 

Essential Job Functions:

Each engineer is responsible for designing and developing software applications for a DoD customer, as well as maintaining and improving the performance of existing software code.

Responsibilities may also include design and update of software databases. 

Clear communication skills are required to effectively work in an open, collaborative environment.

Designing modular software architectures to support service-oriented and micro-services –based software applications.

Developing software applications in a high-level, object-oriented language such as C#, C++ and/or Java.

Writing test scripts, in an agile software development environment, where built-in automated test procedures are paramount and continuous integration of software and continuous delivery of software to the Government is the culture.

Further testing and maintaining software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.

Providing recommendations for improvements to existing software applications as necessary.

Individual shall be capable of performing the software tasks relevant to the basic requirements of the software coding teams Advocate for extreme / paired programming and Agile development methods.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent technical degree. 

May be required to obtain an active security clearance.

0 to 8 years’ experience in full stack development to include Java, Web services, Database, and web application development.

Education or experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration techniques.

Education or experience in test-driven development and automated testing practices.

Desired Skills:

Education or experience with agile and lean philosophies.

Education or experience building applications using a 12-factor application software architecture, microservices, and API.

Education or experience writing and building cloud native applications.

Experience working independently with clients or stakeholders conducting interviews, observations and surveys to successfully create a user-story.

Experience designing full-service consumer and business applications.

US Government experience.
