Sodexo is currently searching for an Executive Director, Sodexo Foundation . This position will office out of the Sodexo Corporate Headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland.. About the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation :. The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation mobilizes experts, innovators, volunteers and donors to feed children in the US today and advocate for policies that ensure no child is hungry again tomorrow. This includes Sodexo employees, who support Stop Hunger year-round by donating their time, resources and expertise, holding fundraisers and encouraging others to get involved. Sodexo, Inc. funds all administrative costs for the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation so all money raised helps those in need. Since its inception, we have granted more than $29 million to alleviate child hunger.. Position profile:. Head the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation by taking on the role of lead visionary and strategist to propel the foundation forward by identifying and achieving the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation's strategic goals; growing fundraising work; working in tandem with the board and external auditors; leading all internal communications and external public relations and budget and financial management. Overall responsibility for management of Sodexo's Stop Hunger program in the US. Direct all programs including Heroes of Everyday Life, Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships, Feeding Our Future, Sodexo Servathon, Food Donations & Recovery, Employee Payroll Giving, Employee Volunteer Program, Backpack Food Program, and National Partnerships and signature programs including Share Our Strength and Youth Service America (YSA). Manage and grow the Stop Hunger Campaign, with responsibilities including but not limited to focus on program development, implementation, tracking and engagement, consideration of group branding, coordinating PR, and managing the Better Tomorrow Plan. Contribute to the global Stop Hunger strategy and brand on program development, communications, and expansion. Region lead for NorAm, with a dotted line to Global Chief Stop Hunger Officer.. Drives overall results for the Foundation and Stop Hunger (the company's sole focus on community giving) and its initiatives both inside and outside the company. Directs fundraising strategies such as foundation dinner, consumer donation campaigns, cause-marketing programs and employee payroll deduction program. Oversees the organization's financial systems, practices and reporting in compliance with all fiduciary responsibilities associated with a 501 c 3 entity.. Directs the Stop Hunger initiatives such as Servathon, Backpack Food Program, Feeding Our Future - a company program to feed needy children in the summer through a network of more than 23 client accounts, hunger relief organizations and volunteers, and recognition programs including Heroes of Everyday Life and the Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships.. Represents Sodexo through speaking engagements and media appearances at high visibility external events and directs foundation communications. Manages all foundation budgets and cash flow. Relationship manager for non-profit partners including Share Our Strength, YSA, The Campus Kitchens Project and Food Recovery Network. Contribute to the global Stop Hunger strategy and brand on program development, communications, and expansion.. Background:. Excellent writing, communication, management, and leadership skills required. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills. Effective networking skills, leveraged to achieve greater organizational results. Strong time management, leadership, and problem solving skills. Demonstrates strong judgement and decision making skills. High level of interpersonal skills required (ability to work with all levels of the organizations including executives of business lines). Demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals and organizations. Ability to travel 10%. Experience:. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Business. Ten years of experience in food banking, non-profit management, community relations or business management, including at least seven years of experience in non-profit, corporate foundation or fundraising environment. Experience working with a Board of Directors. Organizational financial management experience. Successful development/fundraising background. Researches, develops, plans, designs, maintains and implements policies and programs that enhance the organization's relations with the community, the public, government and regulatory authorities, shareholders and employees. Delivers communications through various media. Coordinates dissemination of the organization's communications with news or trade media contacts, through special events, public speaking or other means to reach defined audiences and meet specific program objectives. May manage professional employees and/or supervisors or supervises large, complex technical or business support or production operations team(s). Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from senior manager. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.. Qualifications & Requirements. Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor 's Degree Basic Management Experience - 7 years. Basic Functional Experience - 7 years experience in community relations, not for profit administration related experience, or a related field..
