The ideal candidate must have a solid background in capturing business, responding to RFPs, a proven track record of success in sales, extensive cold-calling/prospecting experience, and accountable for new business results.Highly incentivized compensation package. Salary plus fringe benefits $150k+; opportunity to earn $300k+ with incentives. The Vice President of Sales and Marketing must be well versed in sales, social media, proposal creation, and traditional and digital marketing mediums. The ideal candidate will have experience with both the private and federal government sectors with a background of extensive business development experience in the Hospitality and Contract Dining industries. This is a high profile position within the company and will be reporting directly to the President/COO of Guest Services.Responsibilities:This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong follow-up skills and solid relationship management skills. The Vice President of Sales and Marketing will develop and execute a dynamic marketing and business development strategic plan that achieves the revenue, market positioning and footprint goals established by the company's business plan. Identify target customers, manage business development pipelines towards conversion goals, negotiate and execute service agreements.Develop and manage "best practice" marketing protocols including the prospecting and identification of RFPs from prospective clients and writing proposals for new business. Participate in planning and presentation sessions.Develop staff on sales and marketing strategies. Drive accountability for translating the strategy into aggressive, yet achievable sales objectives for your team.Analyze the trends and potential of new and existing markets that are consistent with the company's goals and mission. Develop strategies to maximize sales in these markets. Develop the annual marketing plan and budget, consistent with the long term strategic plans of the department and Guest Services.Accountability to lead the new business and client renewal processes.Manage the company's customer relationship management (CRM) processes and database.Act as subject matter expert to the internal and external clients and other executives on issues relating to corporate marketing, sales, advertising, and branding.Ensure the company standards for marketing, PR, web, social media and mobile technologies and practices are current.Provide pre-opening and opening support to new units, as well as on-going support and guidance to existing units.Skills and Requirements:Possess a high energy, results oriented attitude that will thrive in a performance based compensation program.10+ years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of selling to the private and government sectors preferably in the hospitality and contract dining industry or equivalent.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, presentation and problem solving skills, and the ability to gain support and establish working relationships with peers, managers, and staff.Must be a self-starter with strong analytical, strategic, presentation, written, interpersonal and reasoning skills as well as the ability to create and communicate complex business models/innovative solutions.Entrepreneurial attitude in building a base of business. The ability to analyze customer needs and craft services and solutions to meet these needs.Knowledge of and experience with developing and negotiating professional services contract.The ability to act in a consultative role to educate customers on the value proposition of Guest Services Inc. service offerings.Experience with proposal writing and presentation.Excellent working knowledge of federal organizational structures, buying influences and processes, and GSA Schedule sales.Ability to develop a business strategy and successfully implement an account plan.Understand sales and marketing, brand standards, along with applicable regulations, and their potential impact on the business.Experience in developing and administering a marketing program to include digital sales, social media.In-depth understanding of federal terminology, agencies, processes and programs.Keep up with the newest trends and innovations in the industry, sales and marketing fields and communicates to and mentors staff with findings.Bachelor's degree required.Successful results managing a team of 7 or more.Ability to demonstrate teamwork and teambuilding skills.Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications including CRM software.Guest Services, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
