WANTED: A motivated, committed technician with a background in copper and fiber cable and active government clearance to become our next Cable Technician for installation projects in the metro-DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia area. Join us! #CJPOST #CBHigh School, plus specialized training Minimum of 5 years cabling experience Active Secret government clearance (or higher) Must have reliable transportation - project locations may not have access to public transportation Experience leading a large crew of up to 8 installers Knowledge of both copper and fiber installation, testing and troubleshooting Able to demonstrate the proper procedures for installing, terminating, testing, troubleshooting and documenting a cable plant system to team members Able to read and interpret blueprints Experience generating an equipment list and bill of material Strong interpersonal skills Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally Able to differentiate color for color coded wiring Manual dexterity, to work with fiber terminations Able to climb ladders, reach overhead, kneel down for long periods of time Able to work in various environments - office, retail, and construction EOE M/F/Disability/Veterans
