Auto Body Paint Technician - Regional Floater Northeast Region The primary responsibility of a Regional Paint Floater is repairing and painting cosmetic damage, primarily bumpers, on new and used vehicles. Dent Wizard services hundreds of dealerships, Auctions and Rental companies throughout the NE. As a result this requires the Paint Floater to travel, often for a week at a time, to any of the numerous paint operations we have within the Region. HOME EVERY WEEKEND. Paint Floaters provide the following:New operation launch coverage and supportTech Vacation and sickness coverageSupplement existing staff due to increased work volumesTrouble shooting operational issuesTech training as and when neededThe applicant should have an extensive knowledge of body shop operations and be capable of repairing cosmetic damage from start to finish in both solvent and water based basecoat/clearcoat systems. Sales/customer service experience is preferred.ResponsibilitiesPerform repairs and refinishing to current company standardsReview completed paint work with customer to gain signature for billing purposesWalk and write up car lots for customer approval is sometimes requiredNegotiate with/sell customers to gain approval for workMaintain excellent customer relationships to ensure longevity of accountsService retail customers when necessaryQualifications5 years recent automotive paint experience with wheel repair experience being a bonusQualified candidates should have excellent communication skills and be self-motivatedProfessional integrityDetermination to succeedThe ability to work unsupervisedPhysical demands of the position include frequently standing, walking, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climbAbility to lift 40 pounds (wheels, light hand tools, etc.)Excellent manual dexterity including repetitive motion tasks is requiredBenefitsDent Wizard offers a very comprehensive benefits package.
