Senior Director, Marketing Operations

What will I be doing? Hilton is seeking an energized, passionate leader, eager to continue to drive marketing innovation and transformation. The Senior Director of Marketing Operations will work with the Vice President of Marketing Execution and Operations to drive openness, efficiency, profitability and accountability of our marketing on a global scale. This role is central in driving the alignment of people, processes, metrics and goals to ensure strategies are driving a strong return on investment and achieving our business objectives. The successful Senior Director will be highly adept at building relationships quickly in a dynamic organization, making recommendations on tools, capabilities and ways of working to drive performance, and flexible to change direction when needed. More specifically, you will: Drive clarity out of ambiguity as well as build alignment by developing work systems and workflows for marketing and partner organizations (eg, Legal, Partnerships, Analytics). Provide leadership visibility into programs and campaigns, assess departmental capacity, drive prioritization decisions, and develop tools, dashboards and tracking to enable more real-time decision-making. Lead the team, who develops and maintains detailed plans for key campaigns and programs. This includes removing roadblocks when needed. Build a continuous learning, and test and learn culture. This involves partnering closely with the Analytics team to understand performance against goals and working cross-functionally to optimize campaign activity and drive greater business outcomes. Drive innovation with marketing, including introducing new methods of working, enhanced capabilities, evolved uses of data and improved departmental skills development. Partner with Procurement and Finance to ensure the use of marketing funds are maximized and make recommendations on budget allocations as needed. What are we looking for? The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills: Established leader able to inspire and motivate a team Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, clear, and effective manner Ability to move and influence a group toward a common direction and with a common vision Shown experience owning the inception to completion of a marketing program/campaign with a large, cross-functional team Demonstrated experience in online and offline marketing tactics Ability to take on program and campaign issues by dedicatedly seeking and analyzing relevant data Experience working in an agile environment Track record of guiding people, processes and technology decisions to advance performance in marketing Ability to excel in a dynamic, matrixed environment and can thrive in ambiguity Experience in driving operational excellence across the globe To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience: BA/BS Bachelor's Degree Seven (7) years of professional experience Three (3) years of experience running and leading geographically dispersed teams (Americas; EMEA - Europe, Middle East, Africa; and APAC - Asia Pacific) in a dynamic and cross-functionally focused environment 10% travel time Experience in project management of marketing activity, having constructed plans that are demonstrable in understanding critical marketing paths and task dependencies Experience with marketing resource management and marketing automation tools It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: Experience with IBM Marketing Operations (Unica) a plus What will it be like to work for Hilton?
