Washington, DC based association management firm seeks highly motivated part-time to full-time HR Generalist to provide HR support for the company and clients. This position requires general knowledge/experience in a range of Human Resources areas (ie benefits; onboarding/offboarding; employee relations; HRIS management). Responsibilities Provide support to the Vice President, Human Resources Assist in day to day HR operations of AMS and clients Provide confidential management of employee records and benefits Manage HRIS system for AMS and clients Liaise with vendors for benefit and program management Facilitate employee recruitment for AMS and clients Support onboarding/offboarding for AMS and clients Research HR and labor laws as needed Perform various special projects Travel There is no travel expected for this position. ADA Specifications This is a largely sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see and lift small objects up to 30 lbs. Requirements Bachelor's degree, HR or related field preferred A minimum of three years' experience in association/non-profit HR Proficiency with BambooHR or other Human Resource Information System Ability to interact professionally, confidentially and effectively with varying levels of employees and clients Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple projects Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and resourceful under pressure Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
