Carey International, Inc. the world's largest and most respected chauffeured services company is accepting resumes for the position of Director of Business Development at our Headquarters facility in Frederick, MD Summary of Position Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Director of Business Development (DBD-CMPs) is to lead the Meetings and Event Services business development efforts for ground transportation and logistics management targeted at Corporate Meetings Professionals (CMPs). CMPs include corporate meeting planners, travel management, and strategic meetings management staff. This role emphasizes aggressively establishing new relationships and growing existing relationships to generate revenue growth; therefore the DBD-CMPs will be responsible for developing and executing action plans that will lead to the successful signing of new business programs. The DBD-CMPs will lead the sales cycle: coordinating all information, activities, and internal resources, and also act as a business consultant to establish credibility with prospects through an understanding of their business requirements for transportation and logistics management services. Direct experience in working with corporate meeting planners or corporate travel arrangers are preferred. Skills: . Excellent computer skills-Excel, Word, SFDC, ACT. . Knowledge of the corporate marketplace in the assigned local area. . Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent command of grammar and attention to detail. . Able to organize own work schedule for optimum efficiency . Good public speaking skills, both in front of groups or on a one-to-one basis .
