Major responsibilities - Participate in various department-wide initiatives - Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics) - Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests - Arrange monthly consolidated PL and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting - Other projects as necessary - Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP - Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Arrange quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external auditors - Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process- A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers - Prior work done in public accounting is desired - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines - Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision - Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity - Skilled with ERP systems - Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus - Highly organized and self-motivated - Experience with payroll - Proficiency in trial balance - Accounts payable experience - Comprehensive knowledge of non-profit fund accounting - Month end closings experience - Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports - Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skillsAccountemps matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs at the best companies on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
