As an Electrical Engineer, you will support our client, an MEP Engineering firm specializing in renovation projects by providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering consulting services to government and private clients. The Electrical Engineer will be part of a growing and exciting MEP firm located in Fairfax County. Job Responsibilities The Electrical Engineer will be supporting the design, implementation, testing and commissioning of a variety of electrical power, control & automation and critical systems. The Electrical Engineer must be a self-starter and willing to learn, able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be comfortable with a broad scope of cradle-to-grave design engineering tasks, to include: Designing electrical power, lighting and grounding systems for new and existing tenant and base buildings Analyzing existing building power systems and designing new building electrical systems Surveying, evaluating and quantifying existing facilities systems Developing project schedules and resolving technical issues Serving as primary liaison and contact for clients Ensuring efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects Growing and maintaining new and existing client relationships Technically executing building design projects including government building design Specific qualifications for the Electrical Engineer role include: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Electrical Systems Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering project design PE License preferred, not required; minimum requirement is an EIT Proficiency with REVIT (BIM) a must on project design and construction documents Proficiency with AutoCAD required Must have experience designing building electrical systems Excellent writing and verbal communication skills Extensive field experience US Citizenship Benefits Our client offers a competitive benefits package including: 401(k) plan with matching contribution Health Insurance Paid holiday and vacation time Build a better construction career with RealStreet and contact us today!
