Our Lubrication Sytem Technician performs assembly tasks for lubrication systems, pump and metering equipment, pneumatic tooling repair and overhaul, gearing repair and overhaul, hydraulic hose assembly, and other assembly products that are or may be produced in the Kaman assembly shop locationsKaman Industrial Technologies, a platform of Kaman Distribution Group, is a leading provider of industrial products and solutions. We recognize that the ability to sustain our competitive advantage is by investing in the development of our employees, driving innovation, and providing solutions for a better tomorrow.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs installation and installation preparation work for lubrication systems both in house and on customer job sites, all installations to be performed in accordance with manufacturer's standard processes with a goal to zero defects Performs assembly and/or overhaul of customer tire filling systems, producing control panels, pump systems and plumbing to manufacturer's standards Performs cut to length, cut/couple of hydraulic hose assemblies following Safe Hydraulic and NAHAD standards to produce quality hydraulic hose assemblies with a zero defect goal. Perform gearing repair with disassembly, cleaning parts, inspecting and making recommendations on required repairs, reassembles, tests, paints, lubricates and nameplates units to manufacturer's standards When authorized by location, performs final assembly for gear reducers and gearing products following manufacturer's recommended procedures for assembly, testing, painting, name plating, packaging and shipping, produces quality product in an efficient and workmanlike manner Performs, with training and experience, product specification to customers, quotations, processes orders using the Kaman Information System (KIS/K2), purchasing, creates bills of material, processes assembly paperwork Performs shipping, receiving, and inventory duties as necessary' Performs other duties as may be required by the assembly shop team leader or shops manager.QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or GED Experience: Shop experience, mechanical training or demonstrated capability for shop products, gearing bearings, hydraulics, lubrication systems, linear or other assembly processes Skills/Abilities Essential to the Position: Mechanical skills/abilities or aptitude Customer focus Quality work ethic Familiarity with assembly techniques and tools Ability to work with a diverse group Safe work practices Ability to lift 50-75 lbsKnowledge Essential to the Position: Familiarity with shop environments, practices and tooling Computer systems Continuous learning environment Lean enterpriseOther: Some travel may be required for field installations, training on new products; some travel may require overnight stays. A valid driver's license is required.
