  • In order to qualify for a Financial Management Analyst position at the GS-9 levels you must:

    You have completed a Master's or equivalent degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.B. or J.D., if related.
    OR
    You have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: analyzing and interpreting functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds; collecting and organizing budgetary data; performing analytical assignments to assist in the resolution of budget and financial issues; and preparing data summaries for inclusion in reports on budget formulation and execution.
    OR
    You have a combination of post baccalaureate education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
