- A Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
- A license to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

For the GS-15:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of professional pharmacy experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Monitoring the health and progress of patients to ensure the safe and effective use of medication.
For the GS-14:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of professional pharmacy experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Advising physicians and other health practitioners on the dosages, interactions, and side effects of medications.
For the GS-13:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of professional pharmacy experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Dispensing, prescribing and/or administering medications to patients.
