  • Applicants must meet time-in-grade, time-after-competitive-appointment and qualifications requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the vacancy to be eligible for consideration for selection. Reference the "Required Documents" section for additional requirements.

    To qualify at the GS-13 level:

    Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal Service.  This one year of specialized experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully perform the duties of the position to be filled.  Examples of qualifying specialized experience would include work that provided knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing a variety of functions related to space management and/or support services for a large organization.

    There is no substitution of education for experience at this grade level.
