    For the GS-05: No specialized experience is required at this grade level, but applicants applying for the GS-05, must either have a4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in an accredited college or university or 3 years of general experience, which 1 year must be equivalent to at least to the GS-4.

    For the GS-07: Applicants must have one year of  experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-05, in the Federal service or have 1 full year of graduate level education or meet the creditable specialized experience of: Performed developmental assignments to facilitate the efforts of investigative or audit teams. Performed record searches at courthouses, educational or financial institutions.  With assistance of a supervisor conducted straight-forward investigations, or audit activities that provided the employee with an opportunity to strengthen investigative skills. Analyzed and summarized facts in writing related to transactions or allegations. Drafted portions of reports and basic audit findings for use in final reports. Researched background information, financial data, official documents, and computerized reports to extract pertinent data

    Meet Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.) which recognizes college or university students who have achieved superior academic standing as evidenced by one of the three methods described below. 

    *S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership:

    1. Class standing -- Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses.Grade-point average (G.P.A.)
    2. Applicants must have a grade-point average of:
      a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.
    3. Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society -- Applicants can be considered eligible based on membership in one of the national scholastic honor societies listed below:

    If specific course work is required to fulfill the minimum qualification requirements, you must supply transcripts from each academic institution in which the required courses were taken in order to receive credit for that course work.
