TECHNICAL DIRECTOR, NATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS (SPACE)

MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Each must be addressed separately in your Supplemental Narrative Statement. Each MTQ must not exceed 2 pages.)
1. Experience in program management and major systems acquisition techniques for communications satellites and enterprise network systems and services.
2. Detailed knowledge of systems engineering and practices for satellite communications and enterprise network systems development, integration, test, and certification.
3. Demonstrated skill and ability to survey and analyze industry trends related to satellite communications and enterprise network systems and to develop road maps to incorporate new technologies and practices into program plans.
4. Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: Radio Frequency (RF) systems development; satellite systems development; wide and local area network systems development and implementation; cloud technologies; network management; development and deployment of software systems; and software system virtualization techniques.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

The Ad-hoc Executive Resources Board (AERB) will review results and make recommendations on final selections to the approving authority.
