Minimum Qualification Requirements:
All applicants must possess at least one full year of specialized experience. Specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12). Specialized experience must include:
- Experience with environmental laws as they apply to Federal Facilities;
- Experience working on Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) environmental cleanup projects;
- Experience applying federal accounting standards as they relate to environmental liability;
- Experience with environmental database and website management;
- Experience with internal control processes.

A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work with the U.S. Department of the Interior.
