    Applicants must have a minimum of one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band, equivalent to the PT-I or GS-11 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as practical experience in: 1.) Technical use of computer-aided design software (CAD) to create and modify drawings and layouts for space alterations, construction or as-built drawings projects; 2 conversion of hard copy drawings and conduct engineering surveys of existing conditions to create detailed facility as-built drawings using computer-aided design software; 3.) Design review of submissions from Architect-Engineer (A/E) firms for compliance with contract requirements OR review of submittals from contractors prior and during renovation of existing structures for compliance with original contract drawings and specifications.

    NOTE: The Specialized Experience requirement(s) must be well documented in your resume. Failure to do some may cause your application to be removed from consideration.

    The ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, climb ladders, visually inspect items, be exposed to normal industrial hazards and squeeze into tight spaces is preferred but not required.

    There is no education requirement for this position.

    This is a bargaining unit position.

    Travel and relocation expenses will not be paid for by the GAO.

    • Knowledge of facilities management operational services, especially as it applies to the Federal government.
    • Knowledge and understanding of management and administrative principles, practices, methods, and techniques and the ability to apply this knowledge to project management.
    • Knowledge of contract management and administration principles and practices to effectively oversee contractors performing a wide variety of highly technical, administrative, and logistical support activities.
