Performs a variety of technology support duties for administration and configuration of software applications on several platforms. System administration and assistance with development of reports with current and future departmental systems. End-user support to over 400 employees of varying technical competency at all levels of organization for Department of Land Development Services and Department of Code Compliance in multiple geographic locations. Analyzes/troubleshoots system problems and provides necessary corrective actions. Configures, installs, and tests a wide array of systems software applications, hardware and peripherals. Installs county images and standard programs on workstations/laptops/tablets. Researches, evaluates, recommends, and implements software/hardware systems for effectiveness and applicability. Communicates with vendors to solve system problems as well as evaluate and implement product upgrades. Maintains appropriate records to document all issues and resolutions. Serves as an Agency Information Security Coordinator (AISC) for the department. Assists in facilitating and managing IT security matters for all supported IT resources. Brings local agency information security issues, vulnerabilities, violations, and compliance matters to the attention of the Information Security Office.

Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to a two-year degree in information systems, computer technology, business, economics, or related field; plus three years of programming/analysis experience; or graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a four-year degree in information systems, computer technology, business, economics, or related field, plus one year of programming/analysis experience in a complex information systems environment.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MSCS), Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) equivalent, or higher. B.S. degree or higher in IT related field. Experience supporting several hundred end users in a multi-platform Microsoft Windows environment, including support of Microsoft Office systems and other business applications. Experience troubleshooting and resolving a variety of network, desktop, server, field devices (smart phones, laptops, portable printers), audio/video equipment (conferencing, recording, etc.), network printers, wireless technologies, and remote access issues. Experience supporting a VMware v5 or newer virtual server environment. Experience installing, configuring and supporting 2008/2012/2016 Microsoft Windows Servers, 2008/2012/2014 Microsoft SQL Servers, Print and File Servers in an enterprise LAN/WAN environment. Experience implementing IT security protocols in an enterprise environment. Knowledge and experience with hardware architectures of servers, desktops, laptops, tablets, smart phones (iPhones), printers (Xerox, HP, Ricoh, Canon), plotters (Xerox, HP), etc. Knowledge and experience with wireless technologies and providers. (Verizon, AT&T, LTE, 4G, 5G, WWAN, Wi-Fi, VPN clients, etc.) Knowledge and experience with network-based management of resources utilizing tools such as Active Directory and group policies. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with competing deadlines. Must have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift/move equipment up to 60 pounds with assistance. Dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer driven equipment. Sufficient mobility to provide support to customers generally in an office environment. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
