Develops and maintains the plant's Asset Management Program. Utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System for ensuring and maintaining the data integrity and generating reports. Creates and maintains a spare parts inventory computerized program system. Verifies the completeness of work orders prior to the work orders being closed out. Assists the frontline supervisor in the evaluation of equipment failures, performs conditional assessment of critical operating assets of the operating equipment, and assists in the consolidation of Preventive Maintenance (PM) work activities. Ensures the accuracy of the work orders prior to being closed out and assists others in the utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Generates weekly preventive maintenance work orders and distributes to front line supervisors. Assists the Plant Mechanical Section in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance work orders. Performs administration of various in house construction projects and services to include creation of specifications to Project Closed Out. Develops, reviews and approves technical and service specifications for solicitation. Responds to questions from perspective bidders during the bidding period. Reviews bids and recommends contract awards. Reviews and recommends actions for non-conforming work by contractors. Performs daily inspection of contractor's work progress. Reviews and approves some low level fabrication drawings. Reviews and recommends payment of contractor's monthly pay application. Approves and conducts substantial completion of inspections. Ensures project punch list items are executed by the contractor. Prepares project close out documents and recommends final payment. Represents the plant as the point of contact for plant capital improvement projects. Attends weekly progress meetings. Approves contractor's plant outage requests following discussions with affected department. Informs management staff of any project impact discussed during weekly project meetings. Clarifies project scope with the Department of Procurement and Materials Management on the solicitation being requested

Employment Standards

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to: High school graduation or a GED issued by a state department of education; PLUS four years of para-professional engineering support work, as defined by the area to which assigned.

Experience working with computers in creating various types of reports for evaluating work progress

A valid driver's license is required.
