Cyber Technical Writer

Key Role:

Work with a highly skilled team focused on supporting next generation security solutions for government clients. Organize and prepare information and data for use in a wide variety of complex technical publications requiring in-depth knowledge and comprehension of the subject matter. Support technical staff in the development, writing, preparation, editing, and review of a wide variety of technical documentation, including requirements analysis, implementation guides, and architecture documentation. Comprehend and apply style guides. Recommend overall organization and layout, mode of presentation, and publication method. Develop publication concepts for best communication of subject matter. Recommend editorial standards, as needed. Review technical literature prepared by other staff members for content, coverage, and clarity.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in writing about Cyber or IT in a professional environment

-Experience with using the latest Microsoft Office tools, writing proposals, developing technical reports, and building senior client briefings

-Ability to write technical information in a compelling style and format

-Ability to present findings and recommendations to the client in a clear, and concise style

-Ability to pull technical data from others and present it in a way that tells a story

-Ability to weave a story into a final product

-Ability to visualize and describe processes and methodologies

-Ability to apply industry best practices to helping the non-technical comprehend the technical

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with developing and managing a technical library

-Ability to provide sample work products

-MA or MS degree, preferred
