Software Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for the software engineering activities for the characterization and interface required for SPAF asset reusability and the identification of gaps and convergence of SPAF assets. Design and develop complex solutions using a combination of open source, COTS integration, and custom Java development. Support system requirements gathering and documentation, provide input on system design and architecture, perform software development, and support testing and deployment. Attend and provide technical input during internal and client meetings, communicate clearly, and work effectively in a team environment. Participate in writing systems documents, including use case design documents and support user acceptance testing and production system deployment efforts. Support the operation and maintenance of deployed systems, including issue resolution and bug tracking and demonstrate knowledge of multiple systems, platforms, and their interfaces to ensure delivered capabilities meet mission needs. Contribute to team success by interacting with clients and the user community and learning and leveraging new tools while adhering to software engineering best practices. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with software engineering or software development for IT systems or signal data processing systems

-Experience with Java, C, C++, or Python development in an academic or professional work environment

-Experience with the software development life cycle

-Experience with Web-based applications

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Software Engineering, CS, or Information Systems or 10+ years of experience with software engineering or software development for IT systems or signal data processing systems

-Ability to obtain a Security+CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Agile development

-Experience with government contracting practices

-Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment

-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
