  • In order to qualify for this position, you must posses at least one of the following minimum qualifications:
    • Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service. Specialized experience is that which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specific qualifying specialized experience for this position (which should be documented on your resume) is: experience operating broadcast-quality audiovisual production equipment; experience in the development and delivery of video based products; and experience performing various tasks associated with video pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery/distribution; OR
    • Successfully completed a Ph.D. (or equivalent doctoral degree); or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or an LL.M. that is related to this position. NOTE TO APPLICANTS: Your education must have included major study in photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position. Major study is considered to be 24 semester hours. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent one year of full-time study, if that number cannot be obtained from the transcript, 18 semester hours will be considered as one full academic year of graduate study. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED); OR
    • Possess equivalent combinations of experience and education as described above to fully meet the requirements of this position. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED)

    IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.     Physical Requirements: Work is performed in a wide variety of environments. Stooping, standing, lifting and other physical demands may be required.

    Receiving Service Credit for Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. VA may offer newly-appointed Federal employee's credit for their job-related non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave. Such credit must be requested and approved prior to the appointment date and is not guaranteed.
