Job Summary
We are seeking test specialists to join a test team responsible for applying rigorous testing standards to Westat's software applications and systems. Testers will use established testing processes and must be able to apply a structured workflow and use specialized software testing tools. The systems you test will include those for computer-assisted surveys, data transfer, and automated data capture.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidates must be able to work in a team environment, communicate effectively, possess strong software testing skills, and be able to adapt quickly to changing requirements. Additional KSAs include:

§ Ability to follow and execute detailed written and oral instructions

§ Ability to test case development and execution using UI specs and requirements

§ Ability to use Gemini or similar bug tracker

§ Attention to detail

§ Deadline driven

§ Dependable

§ Experience using Microsoft Excel

§ Good attendance

Minimum Qualifications 

§ A High School Diploma or GED is required to apply

§ Candidates must be able to work at our Rockville/ Gaithersburg, Maryland offices

§ Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm each week

§ Must be able to work full-time, 40 hours/week

Preferred Qualifications

§ Prior Westat Experience

§ At least six-month prior application/system testing experience

These assignments are temporary, hourly positions. Benefits are based on hours worked and tenure.
