•\tWorks under the general supervision of a team of Senior Accountants and Staff II Accountants.
•\tAssists the team in maintaining the accounting records for their assigned entities, including preparing/posting journal entries, performing balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, analyzing key expense areas and performing variance analysis.
•\tCompletes assigned duties in accordance with AHC's monthly closing schedule.
•\tCommunicates interdepartmentally with managers and staff regarding accounting issues.
•\tResponds to customer inquiries with timely and insightful knowledge.
•\tAssists the team with the preparation of the annual budget for assigned entities.
•\tProvides support for the conduct of AHC's annual audit process.
•\tAssists the team with special projects as necessary.
•\tDemonstrates actions and attitudes that contribute to the achievement of AHC's critical success factors (e.g., best place to work, most extraordinary experience, superior outcomes, financial success for reinvestment, a growing organization vital to the community and valued as a faith-based organization).

•\tMinimum: Bachelor degree in Accounting.
•\tKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and standards.
•\tUnderstanding of financial and operational systems.
•\tProficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
•\tAbility to work independently and handle a multi task environment.
•\tStrong customer service, interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and communication skills.
•\tStrong stewardship of confidential data.
