  • Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
  • The incumbent must obtain and retain the appropriate security clearance level designated for the position
  • May be required to work overtime, rotating shifts, uncommon tours, weekends, etc.
  • May be required to obtain special certification training (i.e., Red X, engine run, etc.) and security clearance.
  • This is a testing designated position (TDP). The employee may or may not be subject to random drug testing.
  • The incumbent may be required to work overtime to meet workload demands. May be subject to shift work and uncommon tours of duty.
  • The work may or may not require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid drivers license may be required.
  • Incumbent must maintain Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) status as a condition of employment and must qualify for an maintain the appropraite secuirty clearance as well as maintaining all other PRP requirements for a controlled position.
  • Some positions may be covered by the Domestice Violence Misdemeanor Amendment ( 30 Sept 06) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
  • Positions may be filled as permanent, temporary or term with a full-time or part-time work schedule. Temporary positions may be extended up to maximum of three years. Term positions may be extended up to a maximum of six years.
  • This position may be obligated.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of DoD Priority Placement Program (PPP).

    ELEMENT A: Ability to do the work of Ordnance Equipment Mechanic-without more than normal supervision
    ELEMENT B: Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment
    ELEMENT C: Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair
    ELEMENT F: Knowledge of Ordnance/Munitions technical practices (theoretical, precise and artistic).
    ELEMENT I: Ability to use test equipment and measuring instruments
    ELEMENT J: Troubleshooting of Ordnance/Munitions.
    ELEMENT K: Ability to interpret instructions, specifications or blueprints.


    PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
