  • Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
  • Work schedules will be so aligned as to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies UTA.
  • Perform work on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, standing, bending and climbing for extended periods of time, outside in inclement weather, in hangar area, on aircraft, and sometimes in hazardous noise and confined areas.
  • Work around machinery with moving parts and/or moving objects or vehicles. Be exposed to dirt, grease, aircraft fluids, oil, solvents, hazardous fluids and gases, intake suction and hot exhaust blasts.
  • May be required to obtain a valid driver's license and operate a motor vehicle. Lift 80 lbs or more or carry items weighing 45 lbs or more. Work uncommon tour of duty.
  • The employee may be subject to random drug testing
  • Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
  • Some positions may be covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. Ones convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • Some positions covered by this announcement may be controlled positions covered by the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).
  • Some positions may or may not be obligated. Therefore, the selectee may be displaced by reassignment or reduction in force procedures at a later time should the previous incumbent exercise his/her reemployment rights.
  • Retired military are usually ineligible for membership in the Air Force Reserve. Retired military personnel who have active Air Force Reserve assignments may apply provided they show assignment (position and unit) on their application.
  • Positions may be filled as permanent, temporary or term with a full-time or part-time work schedule. Temporary positions may be extended up to maximum of three years. Term positions may be extended up to a maximum of six years.

    PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

    VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The law made taxable certain reimbursements and other payments, including driving mileage, airfare and lodging expenses, en-route travel to the new duty station, and temporary storage of those items. The Federal Travel Regulation Bulletin (FTR) 18-05 issued by General Services Administration (GSA) has authorized agencies to use the Withholding Tax Allowance (WTA) and Relocation Income Tax Allowance (RITA) to pay for "substantially all" of the increased tax liability resulting from the "2018 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act" for certain eligible individuals.
