Program Manager - Soldier Programs
The Program Manager – Soldier Programs will be responsible for developing and managing DCS’s support to the Army’s Soldier-borne equipment programs. Will manage and provide oversight to subordinate managers and assigned staff members supporting various program management and functional teams.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensuring that our efforts achieve and exceed financial, technical and schedule requirements.
Managing the initiation, organization, planning and operation of programs.
Interfacing with the customer at all levels – from senior officers to product manager staff.
Working with the customer to ensure staffing meets their requirements.
Managing personnel and subcontractors to best position them for success.
Leading efforts to develop new business in this area.
Supporting the development of strategic and financial plans for the company.
Must have a proven ability to plan, direct and coordinate administrative activities, program control and supervision of personnel involved in the engineering and management support provided under these programs.
Thorough knowledge and experience in requirements definition, work planning, budget control, communication methods and procedures required.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's Degree and 15 years work experience or equivalent experience.
Must have a Secret or higher level of security clearance.
Knowledge and experience managing the development of Soldier-borne equipment throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
Strong network of associates in Government and Industry in this area.
Experience managing organizations with 100+ people.
Risk and opportunity management and mitigation.
Capture management, proposal development and writing.
MS and 12 years of relevant experience.
DAWAII Level III Certifications in Program Management.
