Duties

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Service Lines and Business Development. This position will have direct clinical operational oversight of all hospital-based outpatient services located within the Aquilino Cancer Center/Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center and free standing cancer facilities to include additional sites as the program grows. Implement strategic initiatives to expand and maximize the effectiveness of direct services provided by the center as well as through affiliated partners. Working with subordinate Managers the position is responsible for service lines day-to-day operations. Implement all facets of the cancer care service line, clinical care, quality of care, staffing and technological resources, operational and capital budget planning, revenue cycle, patient satisfaction and customer relations and all other related administrative matters. Ensure programs and services are in compliance with policy, procedure, the law and regulatory agencies.

•\tDirect oversight of multiple employees within multiple departments or locations.
•\tWork with finance and leadership to develop annual budgets, implements the short and long-range plans, and initiatives for cancer services.
•\tManage operating costs to achieve operating plans
•\tProvides leadership and collaboration among employees across multiple areas; ensuring compliance and adherence to the organization's structure, management philosophy, and mission.
•\tDirects the establishment and ongoing compliance of all pertinent accrediting bodies within hospital and cancer services (Joint Commission (JC), CMS, American College of Surgeons (ACoS) accreditation for cancer program (CoC) and comprehensive breast center (NAPBC), American College Radiology (ACR) for radiation.
•\tEstablishes expectation among direct reports to have a customer-focused approach to all individuals associated with Cancer Services/patients, physicians and other individuals.

•\tAbility to monitor, develop metrics and perform analysis of data to help drive business decisions.
•\tFacilitate the exchange and implementation of best-practices, protocols, knowledge.
•\tWorks with clinical and medical staff to develop site-specific pathways and programs.
•\tAbility to partner with physician partners and future partners to grow a collective patient centric strategy for delivering high quality, compassionate and mindful care.
•\tEncourage and fosters open communication regarding clinical oncology care between facilities and staff.
•\tFacilitate monthly team meetings and attend all required service line meetings/leadership… scheduled hospital leadership meetings.
•\tPerforms other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements
•\tBachelors degree in healthcare related field as well as Master's degree in healthcare or business administration required.
•\tMinimum of 7 years leadership or supervisory experience required.
•\tMinimum of five years oncology-related experience required.
•\tAbility to execute on operational initiatives required.
•\tEstablished skill in strategic and critical thinking, and relationship building that represent the mission of the healthcare system.
•\tHighly developed oral and written communication skills, successfully demonstrated in effectively working with a wide variety of people.
•\tProven leadership skills that result in the ability to get individuals or groups to accomplish a task or accept an idea.
•\tDemonstrated ability to maintain stable performance under stressful conditions.
•\tMust be a team player and the ability to promote teamwork among employees.
•\tMust be flexible and adaptable to a growing fast pace workplace environment
