POSITION SUMMARY: National Audit Practice Lumen Data Analyst Senior Associate Grant Thornton, LLP is excited to welcome a Lumen Data Analyst working with engagement teams to deploy Whole Ledger Analytics (WLA), Procure to Pay Analytics and other capabilities on audits. In this role, you will perform the data cleansing and analysis for engagements that require data to be processed in the US. This will give you firsthand knowledge of how our analytics work and how they can best be used as audit evidence. With this knowledge you will become the go-to person for questions from our US engagement teams regarding everything from acquisition of data to methodology. In this role you will also be a team member of our genius bar troubleshooting issues communicated from our Shared Service Center team of Bangalore Analysts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide expert support on data acquisition questions from US teams Obtain, ingest, cleanse/validate data, process analytics, review results, and deliver results/coordinate with engagement team Collaborate with the Shared Service Center analytics team on Whole Ledger Analytics (WLA) Anonymize and aggregate benchmarking statistics across engagements processed through WLA Assist in rollout of additional analytic toolkits such as employee benefit plan, accounts payable and others as they are developed by the data analytics team Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: 2-6 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function, servicing cross-industry clients at a national level Bachelor's degree in Accounting required with additional degrees in Information Technology preferred CPA License strongly preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to define technical specifications based on audit team meetings on innovation requirements Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.
