Job Description 3rd Grade Teacher Commitment to the belief that all students can learn characterized by high content and high expectations for all learners. Ability to use a variety of instructional and behavioral management strategies appropriate to the needs of school adolescents, and techniques integrating reading, writing, math, and technology throughout the content areas. Ability to self-reflect on instructional practices and personal interactions for continuous improvement. Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school-based staff, students, parents, and community demonstrating organizational agility. Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills. Commitment to young adolescents serving as an advocate, a role model, and a supporter of diversity (eg, race, ethnicity, gender, developmental differences, learning styles, and exceptionalities). Responsibilities: · Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible. · Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. · Prepare curriculum and classrooms for class activities. · Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. · Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students. · Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs. · Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments in order to evaluate students' progress. · Confer with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators in order to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems. Demonstrated competencies in the following areas are a must: · Lesson Plan Development: Experience in developing and executing age appropriate lesson plans · Behavior Management & Classroom Management: Ability to enforce 100% engagement in a classroom at all times and utilize behavior management strategies to set and maintain clear expectations. · Communication Skills: Strong possession of verbal and written skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues and school administration · Prior experience in establishing environments whereby creative art is explored, discovered, and observed · A demonstrated track record of propelling student academic growth and mastery Company Description Guiding Principles Alignstaffing was founded over 15 years ago on the idea of bridging the divide between talented candidates in the education, healthcare and social services sectors, and the companies and institutions that need them.
