Sentara Healthcare is currently recruiting for an experienced EMT to as a Health Records and Information Specialist in support of our Medical Transport operations in Virginia Beach, VA and the surrounding area. This is a Full-time (40hrs/wk) Day shift position.

Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) within in 30days of hire. Must obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support if certified as a Paramedic. Strong knowledge of clinical documentation for BLS, ALS, SCT providers. EMT-B, EMT -Intermediate, or EMT Paramedic are all acceptable discipline specific certifications for the position


Ensure clinical documentation appropriate and meets applicable regulatory requirements, standards and policies. Participates in agency training requirements to both manual and computerized systems. Responsible for gathering information efficiently and report-generating procedures in support of the Quality Team. Ability to work independently with minimal administrative guidance.


Education Level
High School Grad or Equivalent

Required: Clinical Compliance - 2 years, EMS - 2 years
