In order to be eligible for the Pathways Internship Program, the following qualifications must be met:
-Be a U.S. citizen;
-Be at least 16 years of age;
-Be a student enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree or certificate seeking student taking at least a half-time academic, technical, or vocational course load in an accredited technical, vocational, 2 or 4 year college or university, graduate or professional school. The Certificate Program requirement includes post-secondary education, in a qualifying educational institution, equivalent to at least one academic year of full-time study that is part of an accredited college-level, technical, trade, vocational, or business school curriculum.
-Possess and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA or equivalent on a 4.0 scale.
*If you are currently enrolled, but in your last semester/quarter of completing your degree/certificate requirements, you must show proof of continued education such as an acceptance letter or you will be disqualified.
In order to be converted to a term or permanent position you will be required to complete 640 hours of employment.
Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. The duties of this position are suitable for occasional telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval and if they meet the eligibility criterion in the 2010 Telework Act.
Stipulations of Employment:
Appointees must sign a Participant Agreement that sets forth the expectations for the Pathways Program.
The duration of an excepted service appointment in the Pathways Program is a trial period.
For Pathways Internships: This appointment is intended to continue through completion of education and work requirements. An agency may noncompetitively appoint you to a term, career or career-conditional appointment in the competitive service within 120 days after satisfactory completion of your educational program and satisfactory completion of at least 640 hours of career-related work experience. The work experience must have been completed prior to or concurrently with the completion of the requirements of your educational program.
This position may have a part time work schedule between 16 and 32 hours per week during the school year. Work schedule may be adjusted with management's approval.
This position allows for a flexible work schedule.
If converted to a permanent or term appointment the anticipated targeted position will be a Program Support Assistant, GS-0303-08. The target position and FPL may change based on the need of the organization at the time of conversion. Interns must meet the qualification standards for the series of the position to which being converted to.
