Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an Experienced RN Bridge Intern who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. Are you a nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Psych setting that would like to take your skills to the next level? We offer an amazing training program to transition you from working in a Skilled or Psych setting to one of our specialty Medical Surgical units: Medical, Oncology, Surgery Bariatric, Ortho, Stroke and Flex. Working with a dedicated preceptor, you will receive one-on-one training to further enhance your skills as a Registered Nurse.
To be successful in this role, the nurse will meet the following minimum skills/education:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science
degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred or currently enrolled in Bachelors of Nursing
• Minimum of one year current work experience as a RN in a skilled nursing facility or in a
Psych clinical setting (two years preferred)
• Active Maryland RN licensure (current and unencumbered)
• Active American Heart Association BLS/CPR card

As an Experienced RN Bridge Intern, you will receive a paid salary and excellent benefits package. For the first 12 weeks, all duties are performed under the direct supervision of a RN preceptor. You will be trained for 12 weeks on various shifts but will end up working either days or nights once the program criteria have been successfully completed.
All shifts require a every other weekend commitment.
