    EDUCATION:

    A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.

    LICENSURE:
    Applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
    In addition to meeting the basic requirements, the following amount of specialized experience is required to qualify for positions at GS-13. You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal Government obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: providing inpatient and outpatient hospital pharmacy dispensing services including the preparation of sterile products; preventing drug reactions or interactions; performing ongoing clinical pharmacy monitoring for patients participating in clinical trials, including therapeutic drug monitoring and dose adjustments based on organ function while ensuring protocol compliance; providing research support and investigational drug management for clinical trials involving adult and pediatric research subjects; developing policies, procedures and informational material for investigational drug management; supporting pharmacy automation and information technology systems; evaluating new software and/or upgrades to existing pharmacy systems; completing a PGY 2 pharmacy Informatics residency; monitoring activities within a hospital pharmacy department and providing advice to management on the status and progress of department project activities; staying abreast of all new developments in the field of pharmacy and determining their applicability to a clinical pharmacy; maintaining liaison and coordination between a pharmacy department and other hospital offices; clarifying and explaining clinical pharmacy policy, plans, and administrative matters.

    We are also recruiting individuals for this vacancy with specialized skills in Pharmacy Informatics and Pharmacist Project Coordinator: The ideal candidates for these positions are:

    Pharmacy Project Coordinator: The candidate should have a thorough understanding of pharmacy project coordination, ideally with 5 or more years of experience working with mid- to upper-management. They must be able to work independently to support the department with a high degree of autonomy and self-accountability. They must be able to understand operational and regulatory constraints of patient care.

    Pharmacy Informatics: Ideal candidate for the Pharmacy Informatics position will have experience supporting pharmacy information related systems such as Electronic Health Record, Automated Dispensing Cabinets, Infusion Pumps, IV Workflow Solution, Parenteral Nutrition Compounder and Outpatient Dispensing Robot.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
