Position Objective: The Senior Director Human Resources Operations will work across all HR functions to coordinate efforts and create operational efficiency. This role will lead the HRIS and analytical functions. The Senior Director, Human Resources Operations is the day-to-day leader of the HR function. The position will coordinate the activities between the various HR functions including recruitment, compensation and benefits and employee relations. The position will ensure HR functions are aligned with the organization mission, vision and culture, promote employee wellbeing, are cost effective and contribute to a safe work environment. Positions Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources Operations: Director, Compensation and Benefits Director, Recruitment Director, Leadership and Organization Development Manager, Employee Relations Manager, Employee Health Manager, Wellbeing and Engagement Manager, Diversity and Inclusion Key areas of focus Develop the analytics function Develop processes to ensure customer satisfaction standards are exceeded Develop and implement a call center for responding to routine employee requests Manage the HR dashboards and workforce aims Oversee development of benefit assessment, financial reporting and wellness data Coordinate the department 3 three year plan and annual goal setting Essential Job Duties: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Work with the VP, CHRO to strategically plan HR initiatives that supports the desired corporate culture, and encourages efficiency, and adoption of best practice. Ensure the organization's staffing needs are met. Coordinate and align the work of recruitment, diversity, organization development and compensation and benefits to ensure hiring objectives are met. Oversee the development of strategies to reduce turnover and increase employee retention. Oversee creative and meaningful onboarding strategies that support the organization's mission and culture Ensure employees are continually educated on company policies and regulatory requirements are met. Keep employee handbook current Develop and expand the analytical function. Correlates the data from multiple sources for HR planning. Ensures analytics drive decisions around administering or changing benefits, health plans, retirement plans, workforce planning, etc. Monitors company climate and culture, developing programs and initiatives to support best place to work practices. Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues Coordinate and direct work activities for HR directors and managers. Provide guidance in employee dispute resolution activities. Ensure records are appropriately kept Recommend programs to help boost worker productivity (better assessment processes, incentive programs etc.) Review and approve or modify budgets Monitor key HR metrics, design interventions to ensure high performance Act as a consultant to managers and staff regarding policies and procedures Ensure the creation and delivery of detailed reports on HR costs Ensure high customer service standards are met Educational/Experience Requirements: Masters in Human Resources Management or relevant field SPHR, C-SHRM or PHR a plus Seven years HR experience at the director level. Hands on experience or oversite of core HR functions including, Recruitment, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits Knowledge of labor law Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems Experience designing compensation and benefits packages Ability to develop clear and fair company policies Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities Team management skills Effective communication skills Works effectively with all levels in the organization
