The Role Our Paid Social team is seeing increased growth and is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team, whilst helping define our core proposition. As the Director of Paid Social you will be responsible for leading, developing and growing Jellyfish's paid social media offering and supporting the roll-out of associated methodologies and techniques across the US offices, whilst supporting international growth. You will bring leadership, clear structure and methodology to the paid social team, crafting how to utilise social across single-service or integrated digital marketing campaigns, whilst developing and growing a high performing team of paid social practitioners. Responsibilities Supporting the agency vision and act as a senior member of the Jellyfish paid social team Working with the Head of Social, and other Directors, to develop, define and continually evolve Jellyfish's paid social proposition Functioning as an agency champion and expert across paid social, whilst pro-actively building your own personal brand to external peers and brands Working with Head of Social, and others, across the agency to contribute to clear growth plans for the social media offering and identifying commercial opportunities with existing clients and collaborating with agency leads in capitalising upon them Contributing to measurable success in growing the agency's revenue through acquisition of new clients Supporting the business development team with pitches, and developing the paid social team so they too can contribute to winning client pitches Upholding the company's position and integrity at all time, particularly within the realms of confidentiality and discretion Support the wider departments to improve their understanding of paid social leading to better ways of working Share best practice and knowledge with wider Jellyfish agency via lunch and learns, or other learning situations. Providing governance for the paid social department and leading the associated direct reports in their work duties Providing a senior escalation point for clients and managing key stakeholder relationships Contributing to QBRs and strategic reviews Driving forward campaign strategy and where required researching potential marketing channels, analysing competitors, and adopting a robust test & learn approach. Facilitating high value social campaigns through all available social media marketing platforms (eg Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, etc.) with an emphasis on innovation and ROI Ensuring output is to a consistent quality, governed appropriately and in line with Jellyfish's values Guiding the team's professional development; growing their understanding of paid social media and working alongside a clear framework for personal development Working with the Head of Social and other Director level peers to evaluate new technologies, formats, data sources, media and technology vendors on both a global and local scale Skill Requirements BA/BS degree required 5 years of social, content marketing & digital marketing experience 2 minimum of leadership experience A highly comprehensive understanding and demonstrable thought leadership / expertise in paid social is essential Social strategy, planning and execution at an enterprise level, on large and often complex campaigns Experience with working with media planners and the ability to respond to briefs to a very high level Experience with working with creative teams to influencer content so it delivers meaningful business outcomes through paid social. Highly experienced in working across integrated digital marketing campaigns that may require cross-channel collaboration with PPC, SEO, Display, Content Marketing, and CRM teams In-depth knowledge of the technology & processes involved in running high-spending paid social campaigns Experienced in measuring and proving the value of social media within digital campaigns A proven record of managing a team in an agile environment
