Responsibilities Work closely with consultants and team-leads with designing/improving/executing solutions Recommend alternatives for application portfolio rationalization that align with business needs and optimize performance Act as a technical leader and subject matter expert for a given set of technologies and applications as well as related processes and data Lead evaluation of purchased software alternatives Architect composition of custom-built solutions Provide documentation, training and support for the applications and technology under purview Proactively seek to understand major IT and industry trends and apply them to IT solutions, new initiatives, and capability roadmaps Ensure technical designs are in compliance with the architecture Design solutions for high availability and disaster recovery Evaluate and recommend application development and support technologies Provide guidance, direction, and support to application development and technical designers To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have: A US Citizenship, able to obtain and maintain US Government Public Trust clearance Legal Permanent Residents may qualify with a minimum of 3 years of residency A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or similar/related fields 7+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in a lead design or architectural capacity Strong interpersonal and communication skills Clear understanding of object-oriented design principles Adept at producing architectural diagrams and presentations for use in communications with various levels of management Demonstrated ability to solve problems, determine appropriate actions and complete projects with little direction Ability to met tight deadlines and thrive in a multi-project environment Ideally, You'll Also Have: Experience working with Executive IT, Business Leadership, or the Federal Government Project Support or Project Management experience Knowledge of standard IT methodologies and processes, such as PMBOK, Prince2, Six Sigma, CMMI, Agile, DevOps, Product Management and Systems Development Life Cycles An understanding of master scheduling and integrated project planning Experience with enterprise PMO and Lean PMO setup and operation What We Look For: Top performers with track records in the following areas: Great communication skills, both at the personal level and in professional settings People-oriented individuals who are reliable, resilient and proactive What Working at Thelan Offers: Thelan is delighted to provide full benefits to include: competitive salary (W2), sponsored medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K with employer match, commuter benefits and individual, annual professional development plans.
