The employer is an IT service management company. Day to day management/leadership of the Capture organization Ensuring that Capture assignments are made (early); Capture plans are developed and effectively executed for each opportunity; and that B&P budget requests have been properly and realistically created Reviewing (and initially approving) ALL B&P requests Interfacing with Proposal Operations Participating in proposal color reviews Responsibility for BD and Capture process improvement(s)The position requires experience in Capture/business development and a proven track record of successfully working on large complex/strategic opportunities across multiple agencies. The qualified candidate will have proficiency in: The Director, Capture will report to the FedCiv Vice President of Growth and participate as an active member of the BD leadership team Managing the effective execution of capture pursuits, tracking performance to cost and schedule, and communicating status to leadership Developing and maintaining high quality relationships with customers and partners, including next generation technology vendors Providing critical leadership to help shape opportunities and our position throughout the opportunity life-cycle Formulating or supporting the communication and implementation of an integrated business development, capture and proposal strategy that clearly highlights company's value proposition and discriminators, and provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting the company for award Establishing value added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to create a profitable return at a winning cost Developing marketing strategies and providing input into market account plans with assigned account BD and P&L leaders that align with the company's strategic plan Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related discipline 15 or more years of hands-on experience in Federal Sales, Business Development and/or Strategic Capture Experience leading a team of business development and/or capture assets Extensive background developing business focused on IT Services, Lifecycle SW development, ERP solutions, and federal civilian mission focused program support offerings Experience with Fed/Civ budget, investments and acquisition processes Ability to think critically, solve problems, and be a strong team player who fosters collaboration US Citizenship
