Clinical Services - Provides clinical services according to imaging practice standards and acts as a resource to imaging students and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions. Delivers sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies and procedures, to ensure the safety of the patients. Demonstrates radiation protection/ safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure the safety of the patients and staff. Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety of the patients and staff. Assists in the management of overall operations of the section to ensure quality patient care and customer satisfaction. Demonstrates the initiative to stay abreast of current technology and shows evidence of professional growth. Develops and assists in continuous performance improvement within the department in order to maintain optimal quality patient care. Demonstrates leadership and independent judgment necessary to support an effective work environment. Location: Lansdowne Hours: Primarily Monday- Friday although some weekends may be needed to cover vacations and such. Day Shift Must have ARRT or MRIT registry in MRI Recent leadership experience Experience 3 years of Imaging experience in an applicable modality, Cat Scan or Mammography or MRI or Interventional Radiology or Nuclear Medicine in a hospital/healthcare environment Education Graduate of accredited school/program of radiography, Nuclear Medicine or MRI certification from ARMRIT or CAMRT Certification Must be certified by ARRT, ARMRIT, CAMRT or NMTCB, and posses additional certification in Cat Scan or Mammography or MRI or Interventional Radiology (CI, CV, ,or VI) or Nuclear Medicine as applicable : BLS Licensure Must be licensed by state of employment as healthcare worker as required for free standing Imaging Center or Nuclear Medicine Department not affiliated with one of the INOVA Hospital(s) Special Skills Interpersonal skills, ability to multi task and make clinical decisions to facilitate patient care and lead the department in absence of the clinical supervisor. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and spreadsheets as needed to facilitate clinical care as well as EMR and PACS trouble shooting as required.Capability to perform on-call, shift, holiday, and weekends when required.
