NTT DATA Services currently seeks a QA/Application Tester to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US). The QA/Test Engineer will be delivering testing services in an Agile environment using Scrum and Kanban methodologies, including supporting test automation, testing infrastructure and tools, coaching for developers to improve the testability of their code, and providing best-in-class Agile testing practices. - Drafting test plans * Drafting test cases * Develop automated test scripts * Develop test frameworks * Develop reusable test code * Analyze business requirements * Participate throughout the design and development process, analyzing features to point out weaknesses or inconsistencies * Work closely with the client and development engineers to understand features and establish test strategies, design comprehensive test plans and robust test cases * Perform functional, exploratory, and acceptance testing * Identify, diagnose, report, and assist developers in resolving defects and verifying bug fixes * Develop automated test case using Selenium, Ruby and other open source automation tools. * Work in an Agile environment using Scrum and Kanban methodologies * Identify testing infrastructure needs to for the testing team and software developers * Will need to orchestrate UAT activities. * Responsible for creating and maintaining testing artifacts. * Should have good oral and written communication skills. * Willing to work onsite in DC. * Ability to present during demos. Job Level Specific Duties * Experience with business continuity best practices - Experience testing COTS applications (AtHoc or other Emergency Notification Systems preffered) - Translate application User Stories into manual and automated test cases * Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable automation * Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications * Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems * Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation Skills * Understanding of continuous integration * Familiar with various design and architectural patterns Required Skills: - 3+ years of QA experience This position is only available to those interested in direct staff employment opportunities with NTT DATA, Inc. or its subsidiaries.
