Job Address: Arlington VA 22204 Parking available Metro accessible Work hours 8-4 Position: Software Asset Manager - Lead Length: 6 month contract to hire This will be a more client facing lead role. Manage the team but also will be working hands on. Required prior leadership experience clearly shown on resume. Required 9 years of true software asset management not HARDWARE Salary Range: $130 to $140k yearly depending on experience The SAM has overall responsibility throughout the life cycle of software assets. The safeguarding of the data associated with FDIC software licenses and entitlements with the integrity of the data is a critical aspect of this role. The SAM performs data analyses of complex licensing agreements for risk assessment and compliance and is responsible for implementing and managing the Definitive Media Library (DML), optimizing and providing the best practices, and developing detail and comprehensive software analysis metrics. It is desirable for the SAM to have the following: 1. Demonstrated experience in IT, with experience as a service delivery technical lead for software asset management services program involving the management of a diverse software inventory with varied supporting agreements. 2. Demonstrated in-depth experience leading teams and projects in the implementation and customization of software asset management tools and data processes. This includes standards and processes for automation: software procurement tracking, preparing software reports to address usage vs procured vs deployed analysis with recommendations. 3. Demonstrated expertise in managing the full asset life cycle including acquisition to retirement leveraging best practices and maintaining compliance with FDIC policies and procedures. 4. Demonstrated knowledge with e-discovery tools (ie SNOW, SCCM, Big Fix, etc.) 5. Demonstrated proficiency in asset management analysis and project planning 6. Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). 7. Demonstrated experience with "active listening" and interpretation of received message to be able to document clear and accurate requirements. 8. Demonstrated experience with effective team building and coaching to create a high-level of team morale. Task and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following: Collaborate with other task areas within the contract to ensure the Software Drive process improvements with IT Asset Management best practices and automation. Monitor software usage to reduce risk of noncompliance. Coordinate with procurement for the receipt of all software assets. Develop and maintain the media library (digital and physical) for software assets. Maintain accurate Asset Repository/ CMDB for all software assets. Develop processes to ensure data integrity and process compliance in software asset management. Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Asset Management data information. Responsible for the creation and distribution of software related deliverables, performance targets (KPIs) and other contractual reports to include trend analysis, exception reports, and federal compliance reports. Responsible for detailed meeting minutes for all meetings held with the client. To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications: Experience with software licensing/ EULAs Licensing knowledge of any of the following software vendors: Microsoft, Oracle, Symantec, IBM, VMware or SAP. Experience with ServiceNow Experience with ITAM lifecycle BS or equivalent + 9 yrs related experience, or MS + 7 yrs related experience Demonstrated experience in IT, with experience as a service delivery technical lead for software asset management services program involving the management of a diverse software inventory with varied supporting agreements.
