Director, Investor RelationsJob DescriptionCoStar is expanding its investor relations' program, and is seeking an energetic Director of Investor Relations to support its world-class investor relations program. The position will report to the VP of Public Relations and Investor Relations.The Director of Investor Relations is responsible for the planning and execution of a comprehensive, proactive investor relations program, including explaining financial results, communicating corporate strategy and articulating the company's competitive advantages and risks to institutional shareholders, sell-side analysts, and other stakeholders.The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment; operate with a strong level of business marketing channel intelligence; bring creative ideas and solutions to market communications challenges; understand communication strategies for traditional, web, social and new media; and manage relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels. The successful candidate will collaborate with and support the VP of Public Relations and Investor Relations in developing and executing the global investor relations program.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain materials for external (eg quarterly earnings presentation, executive presentations and speeches for analyst conferences) and internal (eg consensus estimate model, Q&A document) audiencesWork closely with the VP of Public Relations and Investor Relations in creating the company's external and internal messages and in ensuring that all company external and internal communications are integrated and consistent.Analyze company, comparable company, and sector performance and valuation driversWork with VP of Public Relations and Investor Relations to advise Company management and board of directors about financial and industry trends, shareholders concerns, and competitor actions that might impact the CompanyEducate and update our external audiences as directed by the VP of Public Relations and Investor Relations by managing the flow of financial and other information.Collaborate with the VP of Public Relations and Investor Relations to support the investors' decision-making processes through visits to institutions, individual meetings, visits by analysts and investors to company offices, and visits with appropriate other senior leaders. This is an extremely important responsibility, which will require a large amount of travel, up to 50% of the timeUse statistical targeting to identify good-fit institutional investors.Collaborate with the VP of Public Relations and Investor Relations on the IR website section and content; Manage and ensure all website content is up-to-dateDevelop and maintain investor presentation for broker-sponsored conferences and meetingsGive presentations at internal company meetings.Own relationship with the external vendors (shareholder surveillance, press release vendors and IR website.SEC filings: collaborate with the CFO, VP of Public Relations and Investor Relations, General Counsel, and Finance teamQualifications and Experience:Undergraduate degree required. Master's degree preferred.10+ years of varied investor relations, financial, and/or investment banking experience.Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, and other typical information platformsUnderstanding of financial modeling used by the investment community.Excellent business acumen with outstanding analytical, financial and data management skills, including strong PowerPoint and Excel skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with experience creating investor presentations, scripts, and press releases preferredCommitment to client service, attention to detail, and continuous improvementHigh energy, proactive, creative and organized with strong attention to detail and a strong focus on teamwork and building relationships.Strong executive presence with the ability to interact with senior leadersThe successful candidate must convey a positive, can-do attitude every day Be willing to travel extensively, up to 50% of the time*LI-AM2CoStar Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer; we maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing
