Sr. Manager of Collections and CashJob DescriptionCoStar Group is continuing to grow and is in need of an energetic, organized, problem solver to join our accounting team as a Collections Manager in our headquarter office in downtown Washington, DC! The Collections Manager is responsible for analyzing and improving the collections process, managing a portion of our great team of collections analysts, and overseeing several key imperatives. Key imperatives include partnering and building meaningful relationships with the sales organization, reporting debtors to third party collections, measuring performance, providing feedback to collection analysts, and reviewing client accounts.Essential Functions:Maintain accounts receivable aging within agreed and accepted parameters.Manage the performance of Collection Analysts. Provide timely feedback.Manage all activities related to the reporting of debtors to third party collections.Oversee Collections Analyst interaction with sales representatives and sales management.Train and mentor Collection Analysts on customer interaction, product knowledge, and customer service.Review client accounts on an ongoing basis to assess collectability of receivables and to head off potential problem accounts.Audit collection calls and provide feedback for the Collection Analysts.Provide regular feedback to the Collection Analysts on their performance and client interactions.Assist other departments (sales, legal, general accounting) with collections activities.Lead special projects as required by senior management.Analyze and improve collections processes.Requirements:Eight years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or six years and a Master's degree, in Accounting, Business or related field. Non-degreed considered with extensive, transferable experience.A minimum of three years of management experience within a business to business collections environment or similar process.Demonstrated managerial skills required.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong data analytics.
