The George Mason University, University Life Advancement is seeking a part-time Advancement Assistant to support the strategic, active management of philanthropic efforts within the division of University Life. The Advancement Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support through meeting management, fiscal reporting and tracking, event logistics, database management, donor stewardship and office management tasks.
Bachelorâ€™s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Strong organization and time-management skills, with a proven track record of executive administrative work; Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously; Strong written and oral communication skills; Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines; Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Ability to interact with stakeholders from a wide range of professional and cultural backgrounds; Must be available and accessible for up to 20 hours per week; Occasional weekend or night work will be expected as it relates to events.
Experience with advancement software and/or databases; Experience working in higher education or non-profit setting.
