LifeWork Strategies provides Employee Assistance Programs and Well-being Services to Adventist HealthCare employees and the business community in DC, VA, and MD.
Internship activities may include:
Support organizations in their efforts to maintain a healthy and productive workforce
Provide health education directly to employees
Create initiatives specific to personal health interests
Utilize social media and other channels of communication to engage clients
Learn and conduct health screenings (Blood Pressure, Body Composition, etc.)
Gather screening data to compile aggregate reports
Participate in annual and seasonal on-site health and wellness events
Design and implement well-being programs and disease management programs
Assist in the development of well-being strategies that contribute to cost savings
Learn about workplace well-being in light of new healthcare reform and new health trends
Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue. In order to promote and maintain a healthy work environment, Adventist HealthCare will not hire applicants for employment who either state that they are nicotine users or who test positive for nicotine use.
Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine).
