The Department of Accounting and Taxation of the Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington D.C. invites applications for a term faculty position at the rank of Professorial Lecturer beginning January 2019 through Academic Year 2019-20. The initial term of the appointment will be renewable and will commence on Spring 2019.
-- Graduate degree in Accounting and/or Taxation.
-- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) preferred.
-- Demonstrated evidence of academic or professional currency through active scholarship and/or current professional experience.
-- Teaching versatility, the ability to teach accounting and taxation classes. Teaching experience both on traditional campus face-to face and online platforms is preferred.
-- Demonstrated ability to teach accounting and taxation at an outstanding level to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Responsibilities include teaching six courses at the undergraduate/graduate level each academic year, and service to the department, school, and university. Scholarly engagement is also encouraged.
