Superintendent Maintenance (NOVA District - Annandale AHQ)
Are you ready for the next step in your roadway maintenance/construction career? VDOT is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual with strong leadership skills and experience supervising roadway maintenance/construction activities to serve as the Maintenance Superintendent at Fairfax Residency – Annandale Area Headquarters in Fairfax County. This position inspects roadway assets; plans, prioritizes, schedules, and manages maintenance/construction activities; estimates costs to develop spend plans; manages budgets by planning work, analyzing data, and monitoring expenditures; manages area headquarters staff, equipment, materials, and other inventory; and oversees hired equipment and contractors. Develops and manages the area safety program and coordinates response to accidents, incidents, inclement weather, and other emergencies in assigned area. Position requires a strong customer focus and interpersonal skills in order to develop customer relationships, investigate issues and requests, and recommend cost-effective and responsive solutions.
