This is a Public Trust Position. Employment in this position requires a background investigation. Upon appointment, you will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450. You will need to provide the information annually.
You are applying under Delegated Examining and if selected under this authority, you will be required to serve a 1-year supervisory probationary period, even if you are a transfer from another federal agency.
Applicants must possess the Selective Placement Factor (SPF) to receive consideration for this position. The SPF for this position requires you to work on sensitive cases involving death or serious injuries to consumers.
Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Applicants must meet the qualifications for this position within thirty (30) days of the closing date of this announcement.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) serving as an expert or consultant to management officials on the resolution of sensitive regulatory compliance issues; 2) work experience in designing, developing, analyzing, managing and/or implementing product safety compliance related projects, cases, or programs; and 3) performing analytical work involving system improvements, productivity improvements, and complex project management and/or long range planning activities.
Evidence of the above specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation of duties performed in positions held. Your resume is the key means we have for evaluating your skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to this position. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience.
