Research Administration Manager
The George Mason University, Office of Sponsored Programs is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join their team as a Research Administration Manager. The Research Administration Manager will manage a team responsible for providing both pre- and post-award support for sponsored program activities including budget and proposal development, award set-up, cost compliance and other post award monitoring activities. The individual will serve as the primary point of contact for the team related to proposal and award management actions and related questions from academic unit administrators and faculty. The individual will serve as a member of the OSP management team.
The Research Administration Manager will assign work to team members and track workloads to ensure performance expectations are maintained and will serve as a resource for team members by providing direction, mentoring, training and professional development opportunities.
The Research Administration Manager will take the lead on large, collaborative, multi-disciplinary proposals and awards by leading meetings and developing a timeline for pre- and post-award activities.
Requirements: A Bachelors degree, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education. Significant relevant, professional experience in a sponsored program environment. A candidate with a CRA is preferred.
